Diverse spaces for women in print media are far and few, and mainstream female representation is often in the form of saturated glossies promoting homogenous and unattainable ideals. We can give praise and thank the Lord for publications, such as independent alternative women’s magazine, Typical Girls that aims to both create and promote positive representations of women by providing them with a platform to not only share artistic work, but individual experiences and their own narratives too.
